We are seeking an experienced marketer to join our growing team and help scale Diffit’s impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary: Increase activation, retention, resurrection and engagement across the teacher user lifecycle, primarily via email programs and automations
- Secondary: Drive demand generation campaigns and automation based on teacher usage and other user signals; Support customer success and community initiatives via email programs
- Other (as needed): Lightweight support for product launches, sales enablement, and other ad-hoc marketing needs
Requirements:
- 5+ years marketing experience, with a focus on consumer and/or PLG marketing (not traditional B2B programs). 2+ of those years in an ed-tech or teacher-focused context, and 3+ of those years owning growth, lifecycle, email, or product marketing programs at scale.
- Data driven and systems oriented marketer. Systematic in mapping out customer journeys and pathways, and strategic about moving a user along. Able to design and implement marketing automation programs. Very comfortable with data informed iteration.
- Strong writer who deeply understands and empathizes with teachers, and can write effectively (and helpfully) for them.
- Has been a team of one, the first marketing hire at a startup, or head of marketing at a similar stage startup before; Excited about “doing it all” in a small, powerful, scrappy team
- Clear internal communicator, and cares deeply about teacher impact. Low-ego, high curiosity, effective cross-functional collaborator. Outcomes oriented.
